PBL - Term 1

This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about kindness and the big question was: How can we build community through our actions?

First, we explored some collaborative activities and discussed how we could include kindness and build a sense of community through our actions at camp. Next, we were organised into groups where we had to unpack the above question. In our groups we considered how we could spread community and kindness through our entire school community. We decided that we would offer something that was free and would make others happy.

We created an action plan and our topic was painting rocks and putting love hearts on them and the idea was to hide them but in the ended we end up chucking  them everywhere because we had no time to do it and a surprising amount of people looked for them witch was pretty epic

Reflection:
For our final product our group at the start of the day we had to ask the teachers in our hubs if we could do this. next we had to wait the day and at the end of the 1st day we hid them and some people could not find them that meant some people were disappointed watch was bad so of the 2nd day we chucked them everywhere and that was better because people could find them on the ground

How our action build a sense of community in the school is that we made peoples day cause some one might have had a bad day and they were walking alone and found one of the rocks that would have made their day

I contributed by painting the rocks and hiding them. I also even came up with the idea of painting rocks

I think the PBL might impact on others by making people thinking about how lucky we are to have a wonderful community.

What I learned about working with others was if one person is talking before you talk wait until they have finished before you can talk.
